The purpose of this role is to coordinate and drive forward the SDF4 Missing Generation Project in Everton, ensuring compliance with diocesan processes and contributing to the project's successful outcome. You will bring experience in project management, financial oversight, and line management to support the project's aims and deliverables.

This role involves engaging with a diverse range of people and contributing creatively to the development of the project’s delivery.
- Plan, maintain, and monitor project plans with the Project Lead, ensuring they are useful, current, and aligned with strategy.
- Financial reporting and forecasting: manage budgeting, produce monthly summaries, submit claims for grant funding, and ensure expenditure is properly accounted for.
- Staffing: support recruitment of a local project team, ensuring compliance with safer recruitment and safeguarding requirements.
- Communications: oversee stakeholder engagement, communication, and occasionally represent the project to stakeholders.
- Measurement: agree on project metrics, collect and report data regularly.
- Safeguarding: implement diocesan safeguarding policies across the project and ensure local church engagement.
- Governance: organise the Project Board, set agendas, produce reports, and act as secretary.
- Building project oversight: oversee reordering works, coordinate with dedicated contract Project Manager, ensure due diligence.
- Project Leader oversight: line‑manage the Project Leader, develop local management, assure effective delivery, provide training, mentoring and remove obstacles.
- O‑level / A‑level / BTEC qualifications demonstrating ability in English and Maths
- Competent Project Manager with experience delivering a national church‑funded project
- Experience in financial processes and procedures; expertise in finance IT (MyFund Accounting, Xledger)
- Comprehensive understanding of safeguarding processes within a church setting
- Experience collaborating with clergy and church community on change projects
- High level of IT proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
- Ability to take responsibility and ensure tasks are completed
- Detail‑oriented, completer/finisher, but facilitates others’ work
- Ability to build and maintain good relationships while persisting to get work done
- A proven problem solver with resilience and flexibility
- Excellent communicator

We recognise a distinct need to increase capacity to address the missing generation of 11‑29 year olds. By 10 years, we aim to be known for outstanding youth and student ministry. The Missing Generation Project is focused on creating opportunities for young leaders.
The project in Everton is the final stage, with the goal of establishing three Resource Churches or ‘landing places’ in Liverpool.
