Job Overview

An exciting opportunity for nurses to join the Rheumatology Clinical Specialist Nurse team across Aintree and Broadgreen Hospital sites.

• Provide education, advice and monitoring for patients with rheumatological autoimmune diseases.
• Conduct ongoing surveillance and efficacy assessment of disease management with appropriate medical intervention.
• Undertake nurse‑led clinics.
• Assist with associated research studies.
• Provide support for patients and their families in both hospital and community settings.

• Essential Registered Nurse / Midwife;
  Post‑basic specialist qualification relevant to speciality;
  Evidence of continued professional development.
• Desirable Recordable specialist qualification;
  Independent Nurse Prescribing; ECDL.

• Essential Post registration experience;
  Extensive clinical experience;
  Involvement in audit.
• Desirable Participation in research;
  Evidence of leading and facilitating change.

• Essential In‑depth specialist knowledge.

• Essential Teaching / assessment skills;
  Organisation and negotiation skills;
  Effective communicator;
  Root Cause Analysis;
  Leadership & motivation skills;
  Ability to motivate self and others;
  Evidence of audit and change management ability;
  Computer literate;
  Ability to work both on own initiative and within a team.

Permanent, Part‑time. Salary £38,682 – £46,580 a year pro rata. Band 6.
