Senior Research Nurse – Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced, dynamic, and highly motivated Senior Research Nurse to join the Infectious Diseases and Pharmacology Research Teams at Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
As a Band 7 Research Nurse, you will be part of an established, supportive multidisciplinary research team that delivers a broad portfolio of studies across NIHR and commercial trials.
Responsibilities- Lead and coordinate study activities, ensuring recruitment and performance targets are met.
- Provide visible leadership to research nurses, practitioners and support staff.
- Ensure compliance with Good Clinical Practice, Trust policies and regulatory standards.
- Advocate for research and patients, recruiting and supporting participants.
- Maintain accurate and timely data collection and uphold robust documentation standards.
- Manage clinical trial processes, including regulatory frameworks, feasibility assessments and site set‑up.
- Proven leadership skills with experience line‑managing staff.
- Substantial expertise in conducting clinical trials within a multidisciplinary environment.
- Strong project management and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to work autonomously.
- Familiarity with ICH GCP and research governance frameworks.
