As a Weekend Sales Assistant, we want you to be:

• Available to work both Saturday and Sundays
• Confident and approachable
• Hardworking and ambitious
• Caring and excited about selling toys!

• Deliver outstanding customer service, prioritising customers and delivering a great shopping experience.
• Share your knowledge about our product range and offer helpful advice to our customers.
• Actively participate in demonstrating products and occasional character visit days.
• Process sales transactions accurately, securely and efficiently through the till points.
• Maintain merchandising of toys to company standards.

Weekends are our busy time so we need to be able to deliver a great experience to our customers. We will offer you a 10‑hour contract, working 4‑hour shifts on a Saturday and 6‑hour shifts on a Sunday. Depending on the trading hours of the store you’re applying for it is also important that you are able to be flexible with start and finish times.

We may also ask you to help the store by working extra hours especially at Christmas and in school holidays.

I really enjoy merchandising all the new stock that comes in, pricing it up and making it easy for customers to shop — seeing that new toy go from the back of our wagon, through the stockroom and onto the shop floor and into the child’s hands to buy — is a really rewarding part of my job.
