We have an exciting opportunity in the Security team at Kensington Palace as a Senior Security Officer. You will work closely with the Team Leader, providing a high‑profile presence that gives visitors the security they expect while ensuring a five‑star service to all visitors and staff.

Your role will involve supporting the Security Officers under the guidance of the Team Leader in their daily activities, which includes maintaining performance standards, refreshing knowledge, and completing administrative tasks, record keeping and reporting. Duties will include managing daily routines associated with security provision and providing accurate first response to all emergency and other incidents whilst exercising incident leadership to the Security Officers.

You will use the tools, systems and procedures provided to remain alert, vigilant and responsive at all times.

Candidates should have proven security experience ideally gained in a heritage environment. A professional security qualification would be an advantage. You should be a proactive, enthusiastic and well‑organised individual able to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent customer service, communication and IT skills are essential in this role. Previous experience of leading a team and the ability to problem‑solve would be an advantage.

Responsibilities
  • Support Security Officers under the guidance of the Team Leader.

Qualifications
  • Proven security experience, preferably in a heritage environment.
  • Professional security qualification is an advantage.
  • Proactive, enthusiastic, well‑organised, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Excellent customer service, communication and IT skills.
  • Previous leadership experience and problem‑solving abilities are an advantage.
