* The role:
*** An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our refugee resettlement service. We are expanding our team to directly deliver support for our residents who arrive on refugee resettlement programmes
* The role is based within the Council’s Refugee & Migration team (Our Liverpool). As a Resettlement Officer, you will be at the forefront of making sure Liverpool is a welcoming city for all our residents and that the Council is a welcoming organisation
* We are excited to create this new role to ensure that residents who arrive on refugee resettlement programmes are given the best support to rebuild their lives, settle, and thrive within the city
* Liverpool has a long history of migration from the Chinese, African and Caribbean communities through to modern migration from Ukraine or Afghanistan; the city is a wonderful place to live and work because of the communities who have made it their home
* We are looking for experienced, enthusiastic, and motivated individuals to join us to plan and prepare for refugee arrivals, and to provide direct casework to new arrivals to support their successful on-going resettlement into the city
* The role is a varied one where you will provide advice, support, signposting, and coaching to families and work in partnership with services to advocate on their behalf
* You will have the opportunity to have a hybrid working week (home and office) and will travel across the city to home visits and appointments, alongside the residents you will be supporting
