Finance Director

Able Bridge Recruitment are thrilled to be exclusively working with a growing business who have cornered the market in their specific field. We are seeking a head of finance/finance director who will leading the organisation through their next and exciting phase of their journey.

This is a newly created opportunity which will have a seat within the board of directors. Your main reporting line will be to the board and specifically to the CEO and the Operations Director (although you will be autonomous on a day-to-day basis).

The purpose of this role is to spearhead the companies finance department and be the senior representative of the company when it comes to all matters relating to the company's finances. The role will evolve in the fullness of time and there is a high chance that there will be a second hire in the near future to complete more transactional duties (please note that you may be expected to complete those bookkeeping duties to begin with).

• Review current company finances and design and implement the financial strategy of the business.
• Review asset register and review fixed asset versus stock for financial, insurance and other specific requirements.
• Implement strong financial procedures and processes (currently basic controls and processes).
• Implement company-wide finance policies in line with financial processes and strategic vision.
• Ensure day-to-day cost controls, budgets and general ledger tasks are completed.
• Cost management, cash flow forecasting and financial modelling.

We are seeking a professionally qualified accountant (preferably a CA), who has experience of finance function. We are also seeking an individual who has experience and expertise in knowing what needs to be completed and when. The CEO has made it clear that this person will have autonomy to run with the finances of the company, however when reports are requested or scheduled, these need to be delivered.

As such we are seeking a proactive and ambitious mindset. This is a remarkable opportunity that will springboard the successful candidate's career and potential personal wealth.

Our client is based in West Lothian and we are seeking individuals who are based in and around the immediate location.

Our client does not hold a license to offer study support so will only consider applicants who are able to work unrestricted within the UK and who are based in the immediate vicinity.
