Technical Sales Engineer

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Technical Sales Engineer, located in Llantrisant. The Technical Sales Engineer will be responsible for identifying customer needs, providing technical support and developing sales strategies.

Facilitate a rolling 3 years sales and marketing plan for assigned customers that forms an integral part of the plan for future growth.

• Manage a portfolio of existing customers to maximize sales for the company. This will involve pricing, costs analysis and technical reviews.
• Prospect and deliver new business and customers in the assigned markets both at home and abroad.
• Plan and execute appropriate marketing activities to achieve sales growth. This may involve overseas exhibitions.
• The ability to operate in highly technical market sector with blue chip clients on a global basis.
• This is a full-time on-site role in the sales department at FSG Tool & Die Limited in Llantrisant. You will work as part of the Sales team within the company.

Qualifications

• Experience of strategic selling and account management.
• The ability to travel with some stays for domestic and overseas markets.
• Experience with interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.
• Strong problem-solving and attention to detail skills.
• Good communication and fault-finding skills.
• Ability to work alone and within a team.
• Apprenticeship or vocational training in Toolmaking or related field would be an advantage.
• Production/manufacturing experience with foil packaging, plastic cutting and moulding tools, in the food packaging and medical industries would also be an advantage.
• Full driving licence.
