Manages insurance business activities for property and casualty, employee benefits, bond or professional relationships in designated area with responsibility for achieving sales, retention and budget goals. Has both renewal/retention and new business goals. Responsible for the combined functions of the development and successful acquisition on new business revenue from new and existing clients and providing a high level of client service to assigned accounts.
Develops account management strategy, goals and objectives, in coordination with executive management, and approves sales goals and polices that will ensure revenue and profitability goals for assigned area are met. Manages assigned staff (Account Executives), establishing individual goals and evaluating results.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree and 5 years related experience required.
Preferred:
- Professional designation such as Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU), Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) or Associate in Risk Management (ARM) preferred. Excellent sales capabilities; outstanding verbal and written communication skills. Track record of competitive success.
