The Programmer Analyst’s role is to define, develop, test, analyze, and maintain existing and new software applications in support of the achievement of business requirements. This includes writing, coding, testing, and analyzing software programs and applications. The Programmer Analyst will also research, design, document, and modify software specifications throughout the production life cycle. The individual will apply proven communication, analytical and problem‑solving skills to help identify, communicate and resolve systems issues to maximize and continually improve Formet’s Information Systems.

$84,000 - $100,000 CAD Annually This range reflects only the base salary and does not include other components of our total compensation package, such as the Continuous Improvement Program, GRRSP Matching, MBC Program, and other variable benefits.

• Three (3) years' relevant work experience.
• College diploma or university degree in the field of computer science, information systems, or software engineering.
• Demonstrated experience with multiple computer programming languages (ex: JavaScript, C#, Python, C++, Java, Visual Basic, .NET Framework).
• Experience with SQL Server, MySQL and Postgres databases
• Experience gathering information through interviews with end-users for insight on functionality, interface, problems, and/or usability issues.
• Demonstrated experience applying statistical methods and data analysis techniques, including regression analysis, probability analysis, risk analysis, statistical process control (SPC), and clustering methodologies.
• Demonstrated experience working with Internet of Things (IoT) technologies, including device connectivity, data acquisition, sensor integration, industrial communication protocols, and the development or support of IoT-enabled applications and analytics solutions.

• Managing timelines and projects skills, with the capability to prioritize and multitask as needed.
