the Opportunity

Giffen LLP is seeking an skilled and experienced Litigation Law Clerk to join our dynamic litigation law team. In this key role, you will provide comprehensive support to our lawyers on a wide range of litigation matters, working with reputable clients and contributing to our commitment to delivering exceptional legal services. We value mentorship and are committed to helping you develop your career with us.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assisting with client intake.
  • Preparing Pleadings, Affidavits of Documents, Motions, etc.
  • Reviewing and summarizing transcripts, completing undertakings, under advisements and refusal charts and assisting with collection of answers.
  • Preparing charts and summarizing documentation.
  • Arranging and coordinating documentation for experts.
  • Corresponding with and reporting to clients.
  • Preparing Summonses to Witness, Notices of Intention, Joint Document Briefs and other trial-related preparation.
Who We Are Looking For
  • 3-5 years of experience as a Law Clerk.
  • Knowledge of litigation law, regulations, and procedures.
  • Proficiency in records management.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency in relevant software and technology.
  • Commitment to providing exceptional client service.
