About the job

We are looking for a dedicated, energetic and experienced Sea Operator to join our team on a full time basis.

Bring your flexible, Can-Do attitude to work every day and enjoy being part of an amazing team. As well as having experience in a similar role, some responsibilities include, but are not limited to :

  • Process documents efficiently and promptly ensure they are correct and have been entered into the operations system.
  • Liaise with Customs Agents, clients, various transport bodies, and Australian Customs as and when required.
  • Take responsibility for confiding all sourcing to Approved Suppliers, for reviewing all purchase orders that may be documented, and for liaising with Quality when new suppliers are considered.
  • Liaise with overseas offices and agents regarding paperwork and charges, specifically freight charges and profit share.
  • Handle any claims regarding damage or pillage by way of notification to Quality, Customer Service, Notice of Intent to Claim, and transfer of data to Sea Operations Manager.
  • To inspect all dangerous goods documentation and cargo, where applicable.
  • To arrange ultimate consignee with Shipping Lines or Customs prior to arrival of vessel.
  • Take appropriate corrective action to prevent recurrence of non-conformances.
