Lean Coordinator
Eaton’s ES AMER PCS division is currently seeking a Lean Coordinator at the Perth, Ontario distribution center and manufacturing site. The hourly rate for this position is $24.56 – $30.70 per hour, and the role is also eligible for a variable incentive program. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Reporting directly to the Continuous Improvement (CI) Manager, the Lean Coordinator will improve organizational effectiveness through the use of Eaton Lean Six Sigma (ELSS) activities.
Responsibilities- Support all departments to achieve cost‑saving goals.
- Participate in activities to improve Manufacturing/Business processes in management, the front office, and on the shop floor.
- Lead and facilitate ELSS Value Stream Mapping (VSM), 5S+, Standard Work events, structured problem‑solving events, Kaizen Events/RIEs/BPIs, and other Lean tools.
- Champion the Find‑It Fix‑It process and support all plant areas in capturing improvements and monitoring progress.
- Mentor employees in identifying and eliminating waste, including training.
- Serve as Lean Tool Subject Matter Expert (SME) and provide expertise to other areas.
- Support the deployment of corporate‑driven ELSS initiatives, including PBA.
- Lead activities to reduce the elements of Cost of Non‑Conformance – warranty, scrap, rework, reactive maintenance, premium freight, and excess & obsolete inventory.
- Work closely with LDP employees during their term to support them in achieving goals.
- College diploma or university degree from an accredited institution.
- Demonstrated knowledge of continuous improvement methods, approaches, and tools.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing methodology.
- Experience in a fabrication/assembly environment (5 years).
- Strong interpersonal and planning skills with proven ability to lead change through both direct and indirect influence.
- Experience with Six Sigma.
- Experience with project management.
