Management Accountant - Practice

Position: Management Accountant - Practice (Permanent)
My client is a Top 30 professional services firm with a dedicated business services team that provides outsourced accounting and administrative support to clients in the financial services sector, including FCA regulated businesses. Due to continued growth, they are seeking a qualified Management Accountant to join the team.

The role involves managing a portfolio of clients, producing management accounts and statutory reports, reviewing VAT returns, and supporting junior staff development. You’ll work closely with senior leadership and clients to ensure high-quality, compliant accounting services, while also contributing to team training and process improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare management accounts and statutory financial statements

• Manage and review VAT returns, including partial exemption

• Supervise and support junior staff and trainees

• Maintain and develop strong client relationships

• Recommend improvements to client systems and controls

• Support senior staff with pitches and client meetings

What You'll Need:

• ACA or ACCA qualified

• Experience preparing statutory and management accounts

• Solid understanding of UK GAAP, especially FRS 102

• Strong communication and client-facing skills

• Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero, Sage or Quick Books (desirable)

• Financial services sector experience preferred
