Looking to combine your accounts experience and travel knowledge?

Due to continued growth my client, who are an established travel company based Central London are seeking an Accounts Assistant.

You will take responsibility for accurately checking supplier invoices, processing supplier payments.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Serve as the primary point of contact for communication with suppliers.
Review and verify supplier invoices and statements to ensure accurate charges.
Conduct ongoing reconciliations of supplier invoices and payments to maintain accuracy.
Track and validate supplier payments and refunds to ensure they are processed correctly.
Monitor commission payments from hotels and confirm the accuracy of related commission statements.
Ensure the reconciliation of all data within the accounting systems.
Prepare invoices for events and diligently track their payment status.
Verify the accuracy of ADMs (Agency Debit Memos) from airlines and challenge any discrepancies as necessary.
Generate and prepare financial reports, statements, and statistical analyses for clients as required.

EXPERIENCE

REQUIRED:

Understanding of accounting software, including Sage 50 Accounts and ProTAS.
Minimum of 2 years travel industry experience (essential)
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
Effective time management and ability to prioritise workload.
Previous experience in an accounts assistant role or similar finance position within the travel industry.
Familiarity with VAT processing and financial regulations.
Ability to streamline processes for improved efficiency.

Good analytical skills and problem-solving abilities.
Highly accurate and detail oriented.
Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities effectively.

THE PACKAGE:

An attractive starting salary of £30,000
London / Fully office based
