Housing Administrator - Neighbourhood Services
Location:
South East London
Working pattern:
Hybrid – minimum 3 days per week office-based
An established Housing Provider in South East London is seeking an experienced Housing Administrator to join its Neighbourhoods team. This is a key front-line role, acting as the first point of contact for residents and external stakeholders, while delivering high-quality housing management and administrative support.
The Role
As Housing Administrator, you will play a vital part in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of neighbourhood and housing management services. You will provide excellent customer service, support operational processes, and maintain accurate records and systems.
A strong background and understanding of Voids and Lettings is essential for this role.
Key Responsibilities
* Act as the first point of contact for residents and external organisations
* Maintain and manage the Neighbourhoods team’s administrative systems and databases
* Provide comprehensive administrative support, including:
* Manage and maintain the central shared electronic document storage system
* Oversee void processes and ensure accurate updating of void reports and spreadsheets
* Coordinate allocations and voids across the housing team
* Prepare tenancy sign-up packs
* Process emergency moves and management transfers
* Manage end-of-tenancy processes, including:
* Returning credits to residents or Housing Benefit
* Archiving and filing documentation
* Provide reception cover when required
What We’re Looking For
* Proven experience in a housing administration role
* Essential knowledge and experience of Voids and Lettings
* Strong organisational and administrative skills
* Excellent customer service and communication abilities
* Confidence using IT systems and managing data accurately
