We are working with a highly reputable London-based residential developer who is looking to appoint an experienced Estimator/Cost Planner on a permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing pre-construction team and play a key role in shaping a diverse pipeline of residential schemes across London and the South East.

As Estimator/Cost Planner, you will be responsible for producing robust cost plans and budgets at the early stages of projects, helping to ensure commercial viability and effective value management. You will collaborate with design, planning, and commercial teams to support decision-making throughout pre-construction.

Key Responsibilities:

* Prepare detailed cost plans and estimates across multiple schemes

* Work closely with internal teams to provide feasibility advice and budgetary input

* Support value engineering and identify cost-saving opportunities

* Benchmark costs, analyse subcontractor pricing, and monitor market trends

* Assist in procurement strategies and early-stage commercial planning

Requirements:

* Proven experience cost planning for both high-rise RC frame developments and housing projects

* Strong knowledge of construction methods, build costs, and pre-construction processes

* Proficiency with cost planning tools (e.g., CostX, Excel)

* Ability to prioritise and manage workload across multiple projects

* Commercially astute, with excellent attention to detail and communication skills
