Role Overview
As our Small Works Manager, you will oversee the successful delivery of multiple small-to-medium projects; ensuring work is completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This is a hands-on, site-facing role requiring excellent organisational skills, strong communication, and practical construction experience

Key Responsibilities

· Manage and deliver small works projects (typically GBP
100k-GBP
300k) from briefing through to handover.

· Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, trades, and materials procurement. Prepare and monitor project programmes, budgets, and site documentation (RAMS, method statements, risk assessments).

· Conduct site surveys, client meetings, and progress reporting.

· Ensure strict compliance with health & safety standards, CDM regulations, and quality controls.

· Maintain positive client and stakeholder relationships throughout the project life cycle.

About You

· Strong trade background (e.g., carpentry, joinery, plumbing, electrical, or general building) with proven experience in onsite delivery and management.

· Previous experience managing construction or refurbishment projects (ideally GBP
100k+). a

· Practical, hands-on leadership style with excellent organisational skills.

· Good understanding of health & safety practices (SMSTS or equivalent desirable).

· Competent with Microsoft Office / project documentation systems.

· Full UK driving licence.
