Position: Quantity Surveyor (Permanent)
Client:

Commercial fit-out, refurbishment and maintenance specialists on schemes based in Central London up to £5 million.

Role:
Quantity Surveyor

* Cost Management:
Prepare and manage project budgets, forecasts, and cost plans.

* Estimation:
Conduct detailed cost estimates for projects, including materials, labour, and overheads.

* Main Contractor Tendering:
Reviewing tender documents, performing take offs, obtaining quotes, and assisting with tender submissions.

* Subcontractor Enquiries:
Prepare documents and assess bids from contractors and suppliers.

* Procurement:
Evaluation of subcontractor and supplier quotes against budget allowances for procurement.

* Site Visits:
Regular site visits to monitor progress and address any cost-related issues.

* Reporting:
Prepare monthly Cost & Value reports on live projects for review.

* Collaboration:

Work closely with project managers, architects, and engineers to ensure project specifications and standards are met.

* Dispute Resolution:
Assist in resolving any disputes or claims related to project costs.

Qualifications & Key

Skills:

* Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.

* Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor.

* Strong analytical and numerical skills.

* Proficiency in MS Excel and ideally Blue Beam measurement software

* Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

Skills:

* Good client relations must be shown.

* Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.

* Strong organizational and time management abilities.

* Ability to work independently reporting to lead surveyor.

* Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations.

Working Conditions:

* Working from office and home with regular site visits
