About Us:

My client are a well-established and fast-growing contractor specializing in reinforced concrete (RC) frames and groundworks across London. With a proven track record of delivering complex civil engineering and structural packages on time and within budget, we’re looking to expand our commercial team with an experienced and driven Estimator.

The Role:

As an Estimator, you will play a key role in securing new projects and ensuring accurate and competitive tender submissions. You will work closely with the pre-construction, commercial, and operational teams to develop cost estimates for RC frame and groundwork packages ranging from £1m to £25m.

Key Responsibilities:

* Prepare accurate cost estimates for RC frame and groundwork projects.

* Analyse drawings, specifications, and project documentation.

* Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers for pricing.

* Attend pre-tender and post-tender meetings.

* Assist in value engineering and risk assessment processes.

* Maintain and develop estimating systems, databases, and templates.
Requirements:

* Proven experience estimating RC frame and groundworks projects (min. 3–5 years).

* Strong understanding of construction methods, sequences, and costs.

* Proficient in estimating software (e.g. Conquest, Causeway, or similar).

* Excellent numeracy and analytical skills.

* Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.

* Strong communication and negotiation skills.
