I’m supporting a well-established commercial fit-out contractor recognised for delivering high-quality CAT A, CAT B and refurbishment projects across the UK. The business partners with blue-chip clients, landlords, project managers and consultants, maintaining a strong reputation for reliability, accuracy and exceptional delivery standards.

As the company continues to grow its project pipeline, they’re now looking to appoint an experienced Estimator to strengthen their pre-construction function and play a key role in securing profitable and well-managed work.

ABOUT

THE ROLE

As Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost plans and tenders for commercial fit-out projects. You’ll work closely with the pre-construction, design, commercial and delivery teams to ensure bids are commercially robust, align with client expectations and support successful project delivery.

* Preparing detailed cost estimates, BOQs, take-offs and tender submissions for CAT A, CAT B and refurbishment projects.

* Interpreting drawings, specifications and design information to build accurate price models.

* Sending out enquiries to subcontractors and suppliers, reviewing quotations and assessing best value.

* Working closely with design and project teams to ensure buildability, programme and specification alignment.

* Identifying risks, opportunities, value engineering options and commercial considerations within tenders.

* Preparing tender documentation, clarifications and presentations for client/team reviews.

* Supporting handovers to the delivery team upon project award.

* Maintaining cost databases, benchmarking information and supply chain relationships.

REQUIREMENTS

To be successful in this role, you will ideally bring:

* Experience as an Estimator within commercial fit-out, interiors, refurbishment or construction.

* Strong understanding of CAT A/B specification, fit-out methodologies and supply chain processes.

* Ability to interpret drawings, specifications and design information accurately.

* Excellent numerical ability and strong attention to detail.

* Confident use of estimating software, Excel and take-off tools.

* Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build relationships with suppliers and subcontractors.

* A commercially minded approach and understanding of market pricing trends.

* Ability to work to deadlines and manage multiple tenders simultaneously.

* A proactive, organised and analytical mindset.
