Project Overview

A leading contractor/developer is seeking an experienced Project / Senior Quantity Surveyor with a groundworks and civils background to join the commercial team on a high-profile £50m new build commercial development in London. This is a challenging, hands-on role offering the chance to work on complex groundworks, foundations, and early-stage civils packages while supporting the full project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

Manage procurement and coordination of subcontract packages, with a focus on groundworks and civils
Oversee post-contract duties, including cost control, commercial reporting, and subcontractor management
Support the project from pre-construction through to final account
Liaise with clients, consultants, and internal teams to ensure cost-effective, timely delivery
Requirements

Degree-qualified Quantity Surveyor (MRICS preferred)
4–10+ years’ experience working with main contractors, developers, or subcontractors on groundworks and civil packages
Strong understanding of procurement, subcontract management, and full project life-cycle
Proven track record delivering large-scale new build schemes
Excellent communication skills, commercial awareness, and organisational ability
