Gallagher – Employee Experience & Communications is a specialist communications consultancy, with deep digital and AI capabilities supporting global clients on their transformation journeys. One of the critical areas of our business is events, ranging from small workshops and community webinars to large flagship events. We require an event manager to help run our events from inception to delivery, ensuring world‑class execution while contributing strategically to content and agenda.
The role demands a manager‑level candidate experienced in both logistics and strategy, capable of becoming a well‑known industry figure and sourcing speakers.
- Lead and manage delivery of all online and physical events, from inception to execution.
- Plan meticulously and proactively source and engage industry experts to build event content.
- Fully responsible for the technical and procedural aspects of virtual and in‑studio webinars.
- Source community webinars, coordinate content, and feed insights to the content team.
- Research best practices and present improvement ideas every two months.
- Run the event checklist, ensuring stakeholders meet deadlines and pre‑event actions are completed.
- Manage all event budgets and keep expenditures on track.
- Act as point of contact with all event suppliers, including venue, AV, and external vendors.
- Source venues and provide precise costings.
- Conduct briefing calls with speakers, provide assets, and manage speaker logistics.
- Serve as on‑site point of contact during events, coordinating logistics and support.
- Lead policy development for speaker expenses and other event procedures.
- Manage ticketing and registrations for online and live events.
- Collaborate with content and marketing teams to optimise attendee and speaker experience.
- Deliver core messages to attendees pre‑ and post‑event in partnership with the Director of Content and Communications.
- Assign event duties to team members as needed during events.
- Create speaker and exhibitor packs.
- Populate the website and related platforms such as Crowd Comms.
- Oversee event orders, deliveries, and collections.
- Serve as main point of contact for event‑related queries.
- Support overall business operations with administrative duties, invoicing, and logistics.
- Lead speaker sourcing and feed the content team.
- Follow internal policies, laws, regulations, good governance, and Gallagher’s shared values, putting clients at the heart of our business.
All candidates must have at least four years’ experience working in events and at least two years working as an Event Manager or in a similar role.
Skills & Other Requirements- Exceptional attention to detail and strong project‑management skills.
- Ability to influence senior stakeholders internally and externally.
- Proficiency with Excel at a good level.
- Knowledge and use of Cvent and Crowd Comms advantageous.
- The candidate must be able to work in the United Kingdom.
- The candidate must be able to travel internationally, attend events abroad, and occasionally work on weekends for event set‑up.
