Job Summary

We are currently seeking applications from GDC registered qualified dental nurses to join our Dental Team at Barts Health NHS trust.

We are currently recruiting for a Qualified Dental Nurse to join our team. This role will be based across the Special Care team, also supporting Restorative Department. The main work site will be The Royal London Dental Hospital in Whitechapel.

The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate a compassionate and caring approach to patients, be well organized, well presented, practice excellent Infection Prevention and Control, be flexible in their approach to work, be able to work effectively as part of a team, as well as using their own initiative.

The Special Care Department is a busy multidisciplinary team which provides a range of dental treatment to our patients, including delivery of care using conscious sedation. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to work with a range of staff including consultants, specialist dentist's and DCT's.

Main duties of the job

In becoming a Barts Health Dental Nurse you will be joining an organisation in which safe and compassionate care is at the heart of what we do, and that includes our staff. We have numerous staff benefits as well as providing subscription to a training package which supports our Dental Nurses in completing their annual GDC eCPD.

Candidates must hold a Dental Nursing qualification & a Sedation qualification. Have a good level of experience working as a Qualified Dental Nurse & experience working within Special Care or the Community dental service. Registration with the GDC is mandatory.

Previous experience of working within a Dental Hospital and or within the Special Care department, is desirable.
