The Role - Senior Urban Designer

As a Senior Urban Designer, you will lead on urban design strategies, master planning and placemaking projects, ensuring high-quality outcomes that prioritise sustainability, community engagement and design innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the design and delivery of urban design initiatives, masterplans and design codes
Provide strategic design leadership across a variety of impactful projects
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders and local authorities
Oversee and mentor junior designers, fostering a culture of creativity and collaboration
Ensure compliance with UK planning policies and design standards

Candidate Requirements

Minimum 10 years' experience in UK Urban Design
Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in urban design, regeneration and placemaking
Excellent knowledge of UK planning policy and procedures
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch Up and GIS (Revit experience advantageous)
Strong leadership, communication and client-facing skills
Passion for sustainable design and community-focused development
