Maccreanor Lavington is a multi‑award winning, design‑led architectural practice with offices in Rotterdam and London. We are looking for a talented Architect with a minimum of 4 years’ post Part 2 experience on residential or mixed‑use projects to work on the post‑planning stages of large‑scale housing projects in our London studio.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate as part of a skilful team on large‑scale UK housing projects.
- Research and develop design solutions.
- Produce packages of information, integrating technical data and statutory requirements into drawings for planning, building control approval, tender and construction purposes.
- Attend internal meetings, client and user presentations.
- Shape your career path in line with your interests, skills and expertise.
- RIBA Part 1, 2, and 3 Architecture Degree, or equivalent.
- Relevant experience in an Architect’s Office.
- 4+ years post Part 2.
- ARB registered.
- Previous experience of housing projects essential.
- Team player.
- Ability to work independently and show initiative.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Highly motivated, enthusiastic and flexible with a "can do" attitude.
- Excellent organisational, attention to detail and problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent design ability and presentation skills.
- Understanding of building technologies, environmental design and structural theories, construction techniques and processes.
- Knowledge of technical standards, regulatory frameworks and health and safety requirements.
- Construction experience and design/detailed building works.
- Experience and knowledge of Revit;
Revit/BIM considered significant advantage. - Proficiency with AutoCAD, Creative Suite, Sketch Up, VRay, 3dsMax or Enscape desirable (training available).
- Experience in client and stakeholder negotiation, consultation and contract administration desirable.
- Knowledge of professional duty of care framework between client and architects, employer and employee.
