Job Description – Architect (Retrofit / Fit-Out Projects)

We are recruiting for a qualified Architect to join a creative, energetic design studio known for delivering thoughtful and well resolved architecture across residential, commercial, community and refurbishment schemes. The successful candidate will play a key role in retrofit and fit-out projects, contributing to design development, technical detailing and project delivery from concept through to completion.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and contribute to retrofit, refurbishment and fit-out projects through all design stages.

• Produce high-quality architectural drawings and technical information.

• Coordinate with consultants, contractors and stakeholders to ensure design intent is realised on site.

• Assist with design development, spatial planning, materials and specification.

• Support planning submissions, construction documentation and site coordination.

• Contribute ideas and expertise to a collaborative studio environment.

About You:

• Qualified Architect (ARB / RIBA Part III) with relevant UK experience.

• previous experience working on retrofit, conversion, refurbishment or interior fit-out projects.

• Strong design and technical capability, with a keen eye for detail and architectural quality.

• Proficient in producing clear, accurate construction information.

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to manage project workflows.

• Vectorworks experience is preferable, but candidates with strong skills in other packages (e.g., Revit, AutoCAD) are encouraged to apply.
