Locum Consultant Radiologist interest Cardiothoracic imaging

Position Overview

We are seeking a full‑time consultant radiologist with an interest in cardiothoracic imaging to fill a 12‑month locum post. The role covers general radiology and cardiothoracic imaging across Queen’s/King George Hospital, Romford, and may require work at Barking Community Diagnostic Centre and St. George’s Health and Wellbeing Hub, Hornchurch.

• Cover general radiology and cardiothoracic imaging across the Trust.
• Report CT coronary angiography and possess knowledge of cardiac MRI for the developing cardiac MRI service.
• Report cross‑sectional images from MRI and CT scanners at the CDC centres, King George’s and Queen’s Hospital.
• Participate in general duty roster and hot reporting sessions.
• Contribute to specialist MDTs and rotate with colleagues.
• Attend mandatory department meetings.
• Share on‑call commitment equally with the general radiology consultants.
• Maintain a PC and remote reporting workstation for on‑call image access.

• Full‑time consultant radiologist with a clinical background in cardiothoracic imaging.
• Experience in expert thoracic radiology, cardiac imaging and familiarity with lung cancer screening programmes is an advantage.
• Ability to provide CT coronary angiography reporting and to support cardiac MRI services.
• A flexible, collaborative approach and readiness to work across multiple sites.
• Proficiency with PACS systems and remote reporting tools.
