About the Role

As a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer, you’ll be responsible for detailed design engineering on a range of energy and heat network projects across London. You’ll work closely with the engineering and construction teams to ensure optimal design, procurement, and commissioning outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

* Carry out detailed mechanical design and analysis for heat network projects.

* Engage with suppliers and contractors through all project stages — from design to commissioning.

* Produce technical reports and review project performance.

* Attend site in London periodically during the construction phase.

* Work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team and report to the Engineering Manager.

Senior Mechanical Design Engineer Experience and Qualifications

* Level 8 / Honours Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.

* Minimum of 10 years’ experience as a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer, ideally within the energy or building services sector.

* Strong knowledge of LTHW systems and heat pump technology.

* Proficient in MS Office (Excel and Word).

* Experience using AutoCAD, Revit, or Solid Works is advantageous.

* Flexible, motivated, and eager to work on innovative engineering solutions.
