Senior Façade Engineer – London
Salary: £55k-75k

We are a specialist façade engineering consultancy based in London, supporting commercial and selective residential new-build projects across the UK. Our team delivers advanced technical expertise across façade design, materials, performance, compliance, and construction-phase monitoring.
The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Senior Façade Engineer to take a lead role in project delivery and technical guidance within our London office. This is an opportunity to influence façade solutions on high-profile commercial developments while helping shape best practice within a growing consultancy.
Key Responsibilities
Lead façade design, detailing, and performance assessments for commercial new-build projects (with occasional residential involvement).
Oversee and review engineering calculations, specifications, drawings, and material decisions.
Manage façade inspections, site monitoring, and construction-stage technical reporting.
Produce high-quality technical reports—excellent written English is essential.
Act as a key point of contact for clients, architects, contractors, and project teams.
Provide technical direction on compliance, standards, and façade engineering best practice.
Mentor junior engineers and contribute to internal training and development.
Support business development and help strengthen long-term client relationships.
Requirements
Essential:
Significant experience in façade engineering, building envelope design, or a related technical discipline.
Strong academic foundation—ideally an undergraduate degree in Architecture, Engineering, or similar.
Exceptional report-writing ability and fluent written English.
Proven capability delivering façade packages on new-build projects, ideally within commercial.
Strong communication skills and confidence managing client relationships.
Ability to work 3–4 days per week from the London office.
Preferred:
MSc Façade Engineering.
