Location Central London
Salary £90,000 to £110,000 depending on experience
A market leading main contractor with a strong reputation for delivering complex Cat A fit out and refurbishment projects across London is seeking an experienced Senior MEP Quantity Surveyor to join its commercial team. This is an urgent requirement driven by the recent award of multiple major schemes.
The business operates a flat and collaborative structure with strong commercial leadership. You will report directly to a highly experienced Commercial Director with excellent client and supply chain relationships, and you will take responsibility for managing Assistant level MEP Quantity Surveyors across various project phases. The initial project is a £25 million MEP Cat A fit out located in Central London.
Key Responsibilities
• Full commercial ownership of MEP packages across assigned projects
• Lead procurement activities for MEP subcontract packages, with support where required
• Prepare, negotiate, and manage subcontractor scopes, contracts, and commercial terms
• Manage monthly CVRs, applications for payment, and detailed cost reporting
• Control variations, change management processes, and risk and opportunity registers
• Liaise closely with project teams, supply chain partners, and client side representatives
• Produce accurate cash flow forecasts and maintain budget control
• Prepare and support extension of time and loss and expense submissions
Requirements
• Minimum of seven years’ experience in Quantity Surveying, ideally within MEP or building services contracting
• Strong working knowledge of NEC and or JCT forms of contract
• Proven ability to manage projects from preconstruction through to final account
• Comfortable reviewing M and E drawings, carrying out take offs, and identifying variations
• Commercially astute with strong negotiation and communication skills
• Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Mechanical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering preferred but not essential
