Role Overview

An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Facade Engineer to join a multidisciplinary team working on a wide range of high-quality building projects. The role involves the design, coordination, and delivery of facade and building envelope systems from early concept through to construction.

Key Responsibilities

Design and engineer facade and building envelope systems including curtain walling, cladding, glazing, rainscreen, and roofing

Carry out structural, thermal, and moisture performance assessments

Prepare engineering calculations, technical reports, specifications, and drawings

Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, contractors, and specialist suppliers

Review shop drawings, material submittals, and method statements

Provide technical input during construction, including site inspections and issue resolution

Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and project requirements

Requirements

Degree in Engineering, Architecture, or a related discipline

Proven experience in facade or building envelope engineering

Strong understanding of facade materials, systems, and construction methods

Familiarity with relevant standards, regulations, and testing requirements

Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines

Strong communication and coordination skills

Desirable Skills

Experience with thermal modeling and performance analysis

Knowledge of sustainability and facade-related energy efficiency strategies

Experience working on complex or high-rise projects

Professional registration or working towards chartership
