R&D Test Engineer

Location: South East London

Halian is currently recruiting for an R&D Test Engineer to join a dynamic and innovative team within a leading medical device manufacturing environment. This role is ideal for someone passionate about product testing in a highly regulated industry. You will be responsible for planning, developing, executing, and documenting test activities that support the design, verification, and validation of a range of medical devices.

This will include:
Developing and authoring test protocols. Planning and conducting prototype evaluations. Performing bench testing, performance and functional testing, accelerated and real-time aging studies, and packaging validation. Analysing and summarising test results and preparing test summary reports to support regulatory submissions. Working closely with R&D, Quality, and Regulatory Affairs to ensure that all products meet safety, performance and compliance requirements. To be successful, you will ideally have:
Degree in Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Materials Science, or similar. 2-5 years experience in product testing, verification or R&D, ideally within Medical Devices or similar highly regulated industry. Knowledge of sterilisation processes and packaging validation. This is an exciting opportunity to join an established medical device business that is growing its capabilities and R&D department.
