Train and Signalling OT Engineers Permanent Positions Rail OT and Signalling Engineering A major regulatory shift is underway with the introduction of 63452. Rail operators are under pressure to upgrade signalling, communications and onboard connectivity to meet the new standard. We are supporting a number of high-profile customers that require engineers with a very specific blend of signalling and OT experience.

The Role You will be involved in technically complex rail programmes where compliance with 63452 is soon to be a baseline expectation. The work is practical, system-focused and anchored in real operational constraints. Typical responsibilities include:
Engineering and assurance of signalling and OT systems against IEC req's Technical work across ETCS, CBTC, interlockings and control systems. Integration, testing and validation of WiFi and onboard connectivity systems. GSM-R engineering support including performance, coverage and regulatory compliance. Producing technical evidence, assurance artefacts and documentation required for approvals. Supporting upgrades, migrations and commissioning activities in live rail environments.

What Were Looking For Experience as a signalling engineer, OT engineer or train control specialist. Understanding of ETCS, CBTC, interlocking logic or safety-critical system architecture. Hands-on familiarity with GSM-R and rail telecoms dependencies. Knowledge of WiFi system behaviour in rolling stock and trackside contexts. Ability to interpret technical requirements and turn them into actionable engineering steps.
