Location:
North London
Shift: 4 on 4 off - rotating days & nights
Salary: £64000 per annum + profit-related bonus & excellent benefits
Are you a Lead Engineer, Engineering Team Leader or an experienced Multi-Skilled Engineer ready to step up?
We're recruiting an Engineering Team Leader to support a small, experienced team of 3 Multi-Skilled Engineers within a large, highly automated FMCG manufacturing site. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll still be on the tools while leading, coaching and driving performance across the shift.
The role
Lead and support a team of 3 shift-based Multi-Skilled Engineers
Deliver planned, preventative and reactive maintenance
Take ownership of complex breakdowns and fault finding
Reduce downtime and improve plant reliability and performance
Ensure effective handovers between shifts
Lead short interval control meetings with production
Coach operators and engineers on autonomous maintenance
Use SAP PM to manage maintenance activity and reporting
The environment
High-speed production and packaging lines
Automated FMCG manufacturing site
Mixers, ovens, conveyors and associated plant equipment
What we're looking for
Recognised engineering qualification (apprenticeship, HNC or equivalent)
Strong electrical and mechanical engineering background
Experience in manufacturing or FMCG environments
Previous leadership, senior engineer or step-up experience
Confident decision-maker with strong problem-solving skills
Comfortable working rotating days and nights
