Senior Civil Engineer

Position: Senior Civil Engineer (Permanent)
The Opportunity

We are seeking a Chartered Senior Civil Engineer to join our London Infrastructure team, supporting the delivery of technically complex and socially valuable infrastructure projects across the UK and internationally.

This role offers the opportunity to combine technical leadership with people leadership, working within multidisciplinary teams to shape resilient, sustainable and high-quality infrastructure solutions.

You will play a key role in project delivery, technical assurance, client engagement and the development of early-career engineers.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the technical delivery of civil engineering design packages across infrastructure projects.

Provide technical authority, review and professional sign-off within your discipline.

Contribute to the development of innovative, low-carbon and resilient infrastructure solutions.

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across transport, energy, water and the built environment.

Engage with clients, stakeholders, local authorities and regulators.

Support project management including programme, risk, quality and commercial performance.

Mentor, coach and support the development of junior engineers and graduates.

Promote best practice, technical excellence and continuous improvement within the team.

About You

You will be a highly capable engineer with:

Chartered status (CEng) with ICE or an equivalent institution.

A degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.

Strong consultancy experience delivering infrastructure projects.

Deep technical expertise in areas such as drainage, highways, utilities, earthworks and site development.

A strong understanding of UK standards, design codes and approval processes.

Experience working in multidisciplinary and client-facing environments.

Excellent communication, leadership and stakeholder management skills.
