Senior Flood Risk & Hydraulic Modelling Consultant | Leeds or London (Hybrid)

Are you an experienced flood risk professional looking to work on meaningful projects across development, infrastructure and renewables — without sacrificing flexibility or progression?

We’re hiring a Senior Flood Risk & Hydraulic Modelling Consultant to join a growing environmental consultancy team. You’ll play a key role delivering fluvial and pluvial modelling, Flood Risk Assessments and technical advice to support developments from early strategy through to planning and delivery.

What you’ll be doing :

Building and reviewing hydraulic models (Flood Modeller Pro / TUFLOW)

Undertaking hydrological assessments and flood risk analysis

Identifying flood constraints and mitigation opportunities

Supporting planning applications with high-quality technical reports

Liaising with clients, regulators and internal teams

What we’re looking for:

4+ years’ experience in flood risk and hydraulic modelling

Strong knowledge of UK flood risk policy and planning (e.g. NPPF)

Confident interpreting and communicating model results

Experience with the Environment Agency review process

Good report writing and stakeholder communication skills

GIS / AutoCAD experience desirable
