IT Project Engineer

As a Project Engineer, you’ll be involved in the end-to-end delivery of customer and internal projects, from design through to handover. You’ll work closely with Project Managers, Architects, and stakeholders to ensure every solution is delivered to the highest technical and commercial standards.

Responsibilities

* Designing and implementing infrastructure, cloud, and network solutions

* Supporting the full project lifecycle – build, testing, documentation, and handover

* Acting as a key technical point of contact for projects and change initiatives

* Producing high-quality technical documentation and customer handover packs

* Contributing to pre-sales activity, including technical proposals and presentations

* Identifying risks and ensuring solutions are secure, resilient, and cost-effective

* Mentoring junior engineers and sharing knowledge across the business

* Solid experience with VMware and virtualised environments

Skills/Experience

* Proven delivery of Microsoft 365 and Azure migrations

* Strong knowledge of Microsoft cloud security (MFA, Intune, compliance, email security)

* Broad experience across the Microsoft stack – Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, SQL

* Good understanding of networking fundamentals, VPNs, and multi-vendor environments

* Hands-on experience with backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions

* Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

* Power Shell scripting and automation tools

* Cloud telephony and Linux environments
