We are looking for experienced mine water professionals (Full-Time or Part-Time) to join our busy Mine Water team and support an expanding pipeline of work in the mining sector.

This position provides an exciting opportunity to join SLR’s expanding multi-disciplinary service offering which includes mining engineers, geologists, tailings engineers, geotechnical engineers, ESG practitioners. You will have the opportunity to work with an established team of senior mining consultants. We are interested to hear from water specialists in the fields of hydrology and water resource engineering with experience on local and international mining projects.

You could be based in any of our existing European offices, including Edinburgh;
Bristol;
Nottingham; or London, or our office in Dublin.
** The role
** You will:
· Join the Mine Water team which includes hydro geologists, hydrologists, and geochemists and deliver integrated water management solutions for the mining sector.
· Provide specialist input to local and international mining studies throughout the mining lifecycle including:
Design & Feasibility Studies (PEA / PFS / FS etc);
Operational Improvements;
Due Diligence & Independent Reviews;
Environmental & Social Impacts Assessments (ESIA);
Closure Planning.
· Manage various aspects of successful project delivery essential in maintaining client relations including: enquiry management, client liaison, technical workshops, site visits, technical reporting, quality assurance and quality control etc.
· Provide input into the strategic direction of the team, assist with resource planning / workload management, and enhance team capability through training and mentoring others.
· Keep abreast of technical innovation and contribute to ensuring we provide high value advice which complies with recognised best practice, technical guidance and legislation impacting water management in the mining and minerals sector, both nationally and internationally and ensuring SLR is well placed to take advantage of change.

Your project work is likely to involve travel across the UK, Europe and internationally. You would work on projects with our colleagues who are based in other offices throughout Europe, Asia, Australia, Africa, and the Americas.

** About you
** If you are interested in applying, we would love to hear from you. We envisage that you would be able to bring/demonstrate:
· Relevant academic qualification(s) and professional registration e.g. chartered engineer (CEng), environmentalist (CEng) or scientist (CSci).
· Experience in contributing to the delivery of a range of technical studies through any of the various phases of the mine life cycle from feasibility and design, environmental impact assessment, operational and closure.
· Broad understanding water management issues and best practices for the mining sector.
· Strong technical and numerical skills, with demonstrable experience in relevant water modelling packages, design methodologies and analytical approaches.
