Freelance Producer, Live Electronic Music - London (contract, commission-only)
Location: London
Employment type: Contract
Commission-based pay per show: £120-£400+ depending on ticket prices, show volume, and event performance.
Sofar Sounds is a global community connecting artists and audiences through unique, intimate experiences in everyday spaces like living rooms, rooftops, boutiques, and museums.
Responsibilities- Strengthen Sofar’s brand in the local community by promoting and selling tickets using self‑directed local marketing tactics.
- Create a vision and execute a strategy for show types and venues, including themes, ideal artists, growth partners, and marketing tactics.
- Lead curation and booking of live electronic experiences, ensuring a high‑quality, diverse roster of artists and venues.
- Oversee crew and operations to deliver hospitality‑focused, high‑quality magical experiences.
- Manage financial performance of each event, ensuring profitability and health.
- Build relationships with local businesses to secure sponsor ships and private events.
- Partner with local organizations that share audiences to build community, broaden reach, and co‑promote shows.
- Collaborate with other producers and the Sofar London team to grow show types through diverse, buzz‑generating experiences.
- Support wider Sofar business by ensuring high‑quality curation and seamless event operations for inbound partnership opportunities.
- Deep connections to the London live electronic scene and active role in building community.
- 3–5 years of experience in live event curation, production, and promotion.
- Confidence pitching ideas and event concepts to sponsors and partners.
- Strong pulse on the neighbourhood and where people like to spend free time.
- Exceptional connector, building relationships with diverse community‑driven organisations, media partners, and local businesses that add strategic and financial value.
- Ability to promote and build strategic alliances that ultimately sell more tickets.
- Professionalism, ownership, and commitment to delivering best experience for artists, venues, partners, and guests.
- Excellent time management and clear communication skills.
- Autonomous work style with strong connection to the broader organisation.
