Technical Accounting Manager - Insurance - London (Hybrid) - £110,000 - £125,000 Your new company A dynamic and forward-thinking insurance group is seeking a Technical Accounting Manager to join its London-based finance team. This is a pivotal role focused on embedding key reporting changes, providing technical and commercial guidance, and ensuring compliance with evolving accounting standards in a complex reporting environment.

You’ll be instrumental in driving continuous improvement across reporting processes, maintaining robust controls, and supporting statutory and regulatory deliverables. Your new role K ey Responsibilities Lead technical reviews of statutory and regulatory reporting (Annual Reports, Solvency II, Lloyd’s, NAIC, etc.) Ensure compliance with UK GAAP, US GAAP, IFRS, Lloyd’s, and Solvency II Produce technical accounting papers and evaluate the financial reporting impacts of significant transactions Act as the primary finance contact for projects and change initiatives Prepare and review Board and Audit Committee papers Support financial statement disclosures and complex journal entries Provide quarterly training and respond to regulator queries Assist with tax compliance and finance controls documentation What you'll need to succeed ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified (or equivalent) Strong technical knowledge of UK GAAP, US GAAP, IFRS, Lloyd’s, and Solvency II Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and handling complex data sets Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills Analytical mindset with strong reconciliation abilities Proven ability to meet deadlines and solve problems independently Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance frameworks What you'll get in return This is a unique opportunity to be part of a vibrant, inclusive, and high-performing team within a company that values curiosity, collaboration, and radical simplicity.
