Finance Director for a 6-month interim opportunity for a public services organisation in the North Midlands

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Finance Director to lead the finance function within a dynamic organisation. Reporting to the CFO, you will play a pivotal role in shaping financial strategy, ensuring robust governance, and supporting the delivery of the strategic finance plan.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the finance department and support the CFO in strategic planning and operational delivery. Manage and develop the finance team, ensuring high performance Oversee management and financial accounting, including statutory accounts, audit, with relevant compliance Drive financial planning, forecasting, and resource allocation for the organisation Manage taxation, treasury, and cashflow, ensuring compliance and optimal use of funds

About You:

ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified Public sector experience is preferred Ideally, seeking a fixed-term placement for 6 months, but day rates could be considered. The role is available now, but the client could also wait until January 2026 for a start date.
