Interim Finance Manager

Interim Finance Manager – Business & Investment Management (Family Office) – Up To £450 Per Day – Manchester Your new company A thriving family office based in central Manchester, managing a diverse portfolio of investments and businesses across multiple sectors. With management of a well-established team of three, the office prides itself on its entrepreneurial spirit, long-term vision, and hands-on approach to financial stewardship.

Your new role As Interim Finance Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in overseeing the financial operations of the family office. Reporting directly to the principals, you’ll be responsible for producing full management accounts, managing cash flow, and supporting strategic decision-making through insightful financial analysis. You’ll also act as a business partner across the portfolio, helping to evaluate business cases and investment opportunities.

Key responsibilities include:

Producing full monthly management accounts Balance sheet reconciliations Budgeting and forecasting P&L variance analysis with commentary Daily cash flow management Posting income and cost accruals Prepayment journals Petty cash reconciliation Payroll processing Supporting investment appraisals and business case development Liaising with external advisors and stakeholders What you'll need to succeed Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent) Experience in a similar finance role, ideally within a family office, SME, or investment environment Strong analytical and commercial acumen Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Comfortable working onsite in a small, collaborative team Proactive, hands-on approach with a high level of integrity and discretion What you'll get in return A unique opportunity to work closely with high-net-worth individuals and their portfolio of businesses Broad exposure to investment and commercial decision-making Autonomy and variety in your day-to-day role Competitive daily rate (dependent on experience) up to £450 per day.
