The role will play a central part in maintaining stability, delivering a complex budget cycle at pace, and providing senior financial leadership during a period of transition and change. This appointment is being made urgently, with the successful candidate ideally starting before the end of January . Key duties will include:
Leading the organisation's central FP&A function , including budgeting, forecasting, and performance reporting Taking ownership of the annual budget process , delivering within a short timeframe and in a complex, multi-directorate environment Providing high-quality financial insight, challenge, and decision support to Executive Directors and senior stakeholders Managing and developing a team of FP&A and management accounting professionals Supporting the CFO and Executive team with financial modelling, scenario planning, and strategic analysis Ensuring robust performance reporting, risk identification, and clear financial narrative for senior decision-makers Acting as a senior finance leader during a period of organisational change, bringing clarity, pace, and credibility The ideal candidate will:
Be a qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent) Have significant experience in FP&A leadership within a large, complex organisation Be comfortable stepping into ambiguity and delivering at pace, particularly around budgeting and planning Have a proven ability to operate at senior level, influencing and challenging Executives with confidence and credibility Bring strong people leadership skills, with experience managing and motivating teams through change Be available at short notice and motivated by working in a mission-driven environment
This role offers hybrid working, with typically two days per week in a London office, and is open to interim day-rate or fixed-term salary arrangements. A very competitive daily rate or annual salary is available, and there is potential for the role to evolve into a permanent position, depending on organisational needs and performance.
