Senior Manager – Energy – International Tax (Open to flexible working)

We have an exciting opportunity to join our international tax services team, known as leaders in international tax advisory and cross border M&A. You will be working with some of the largest corporations advising them on their international tax planning and M&A deals, within our International Tax and Transaction Services (ITTS) Practice focusing on the Energy sector.
You will collaborate with sector‑leading Partners and a high‑performing team that has advised on many high‑profile and market‑leading transactions. Energy is a vibrant, dynamic and strategically important sector. The energy transition is driving activity in traditional sectors (oil and gas) and low‑carbon energy (renewables) and the wider supply chain, requiring significant investment.

The OpportunityThe combination of experience and innovation in our team makes it an exciting place to work in tax. You will develop into a skilled and renowned international tax adviser, working with UK/overseas MNCs, lawyers and banks on complex projects.
Key Responsibilities- Build and maintain relationships with clients, winning work proactively and contributing to new client acquisition.
- Manage the delivery of technically complex consulting projects, ensuring technical excellence and a practical/business focus.
- Take overall responsibility for the quality of client service.
- Manage leads from other area practices.
- Build internal and external networks for team leveraging.
- Develop junior staff through supervision, coaching and mentoring.
- Client focus and commercial awareness.
- Strong international and UK tax technical skills.
- Commitment to building strong client relationships and delivering quality outputs.
- Negotiation skills and ability to handle challenges.
- Business development skills; identify and convert opportunities.
- Strong business acumen and engagement financial result management.
- Effective time management and composure under pressure.
- Excellent written and oral communication.
- Enthusiastic team player with ability to build effective teams.
- Deliver quality work and manage day‑to‑day delivery.
- ACA/CA/ACCA/CTA, or Tax Inspector with full Technical Training Course, or Law qualification.
- Experienced corporate tax practitioner.
- Proven ability to read and interpret tax statutes.
- Experience in a client-facing UK tax or similar jurisdiction role.
- Experience with in the Energy sector.
Project management skills: planning, prioritising work, meeting deadlines, monitoring own budget.
