Overview

• S.2 is interested in engaging with established Private Equity investment professionals with a strong record across origination, transaction execution, portfolio management and value creation.
• The focus is on commercially minded investors who combine rigorous financial analysis with sound investment judgement, the ability to develop high-quality relationships and the confidence to influence strategic decisions at senior levels.
• We are particularly interested in individuals who have played a meaningful role throughout the investment lifecycle, from identifying attractive opportunities and executing transactions through to supporting portfolio company performance and realising shareholder value.
• The position is suited to an established investment professional operating at Investment Director or Principal level, with the potential to contribute to investment strategy, deal origination and broader platform development.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify, originate and evaluate investment opportunities aligned with the firm's investment strategy and return objectives.
• Lead or play a senior role in transaction execution, including commercial assessment, financial analysis, valuation, due diligence, negotiation and completion.
• Develop investment theses supported by detailed industry research, financial modelling and competitive market analysis.
• Prepare and present investment recommendations to senior stakeholders and investment committees.
• Manage relationships with founders, management teams, intermediaries, advisers, lenders and co-investors.
• Work closely with portfolio company leadership to support strategic planning, operational improvement and long-term value creation.
• Evaluate capital structures, financing options, acquisition opportunities and potential exit strategies.
• Monitor portfolio company financial performance, operational development and strategic milestones.
• Contribute to portfolio governance, investment risk management and exit planning.
• Support the professional development of junior investment team members.

Candidate Profile

We are particularly interested in professionals offering:

• Significant experience within an established Private Equity investment platform, ideally at Investment Director, Principal or equivalent level.
• A demonstrable record of involvement in completed investments, with meaningful responsibility for transaction execution and investment decision-making.
• Strong capabilities across leveraged buyouts, growth investments, valuation, financial modelling and investment structuring.
• Experience working with portfolio company management teams to develop strategic and operational value-creation initiatives.
• A detailed understanding of debt financing, capital structures, investment returns and exit considerations.
• The ability to originate investment opportunities and develop valuable relationships within relevant sectors.
• Strong commercial judgement, negotiation skills and executive-level communication.
• The confidence to challenge investment assumptions and contribute independently to investment discussions.
• A highly developed sense of ownership, professional integrity and discretion.

Experience with in mid-market or upper-mid-market Private Equity would be particularly relevant.
