Senior Staff Nurse – Emergency Department

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK, employing around 40,000 staff across a wide range of clinical and non‑clinical professions and job roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.

We are inviting applications for a band 6 registered nurse to join the Emergency Department at Inverclyde Royal Hospital. The shift pattern is a 12.5‑hour rotational cycle; effective 1 April 2026 the full‑time Agenda for Change posts will be reduced to 36 hours per week. Alternative hours can be negotiated.

You will be a registered nurse with a valid NMC registration and a live NMC UK PIN. As part of the role you will:

  • Deliver person‑centred care under pressure.
  • Work within a high‑pressure emergency environment.
  • Develop your clinical skills through abundant learning opportunities and staff development programmes.
