To support our growing presence in the Western Europe, we are recruiting a Food Safety Specialist in the UK to reinforce our regional Food Safety and Safety structure.

As a Food Safety Specialist at Yarzin Sella, you will support our operations by ensuring compliance with NVWA and Warenwet requirements, and HACCP implementation; as well as a safe working environment aligned with health & safety standards.

You will work closely with Operational teams, the Regional Food Safety Manager and the Food Safety Director, ensuring consistent implementation of standards across all sites and providing regular, structured reporting to support proactive decision‑making.

Food Safety Compliance

• Ensure compliance with NVWA, HACCP and Warenwet requirements
• Conduct routine food safety audits and inspections at assigned locations
• Verify hygiene practices, allergen management, temperature control, traceability and sanitation, and follow‑up on corrective actions
• Support site managers and culinary teams in applying best practices
• Assist with new site openings and the implementation of food safety protocols
• Stay updated on regulatory and industry requirements.

Workplace Safety

• Monitor implementation of health & safety procedures
• Conduct basic workplace safety checks (equipment, storage, PPE, etc.)
• Support incident reporting and follow‑up
• Identify unsafe behaviours/conditions and support corrective actions.

Training & Education

• Deliver food safety training to culinary and front‑of‑house teams
• Support onboarding on hygiene, allergen, equipment and safety routines.

Incident Response & Reporting

• Assist in investigating food safety and safety incidents
• Provide regular, structured and proactive reporting to the Food Safety Manager and Food Safety Director
• Track key KPIs and highlight trends or risks requiring attention
• Escalate critical issues promptly

You are the Food Safety Specialist we’re looking for it you tick these boxes

• 2+ years of experience in food safety, food technology, hospitality or catering QA
• Knowledge of NVWA, HACCP, allergen rules and Warenwet obligations
• Sensitivity to workplace safety
• Experience in multi‑site environments
• Ability to coach teams and collaborate with chefs and managers
• Comfortable with digital tools for audits and documentation
• Autonomous, adaptable and proactive
• Strong communication skills in English (additional EU language is a plus).
