Location: Greater London
One of my local government clients is seeking a highly skilled Population Health Data Management Analyst to support the development and delivery of Population Health Management (PHM) approaches across the borough and the Integrated Care System. This role will bridge public health intelligence and NHS operational planning to help reduce health inequalities, improve outcomes and inform service redesign.

Purpose of the Role

The postholder will provide analytical expertise to support segmentation, forecasting, equity audits, and data-driven decision-making. They will develop automated reporting tools, translate JSNA insights into actionable intelligence, and prepare the system for future integrated data capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Support local, regional and national PHM priorities

• Deliver analytical projects including segmentation, risk stratification, equity audits and forecasting

• Translate public health intelligence into actionable PHM solutions

• Develop dashboards and automated reporting pipelines

• Provide analytical and epidemiological advice to public health and NHS partners

• Support work streams such as long-term conditions and frailty

• Ensure robust data governance and IG compliance across council and ICB datasets

• Contribute to analytical maturity and capability building across the system

Person Specification

Essential:

• Strong knowledge of public health intelligence and analytical techniques

• Competence in SQL, R or Python

• Experience with clinical datasets (ideally primary care)

• Understanding of PHM approaches including segmentation and impactability modelling

• Ability to design dashboards and analytical pipelines

• Experience working within public health, NHS or wider public sector analytics

Strong communication skills, including presenting complex findings to senior audiences

• Ability to work independently across organisations and adapt to evolving priorities

Desirable:

• Postgraduate qualification in data science, public health, epidemiology or similar
