A day in the role:
Your day might begin with a stand-up to align with your team's sprint. Next, you may have some project work to do or a project meeting to attend, where you'll be modernising the Bank through the services, you're responsible for. After that, you may draft and raise a change request through the Bank's formal change processes to change or update email policies.
The following day if you're in the office, you could have lunch in the canteen with some of your colleagues. In the afternoon, you may have a support call from a user about an issue with their email encryption, checking to ensure our monitoring tools haven't alerted us to anything untoward. Once you've sorted that call, you'll document the fix so that colleagues in your team and division better understand the services you support.
The rest of the afternoon could be spent reviewing a problem ticket and technical documentation of an upcoming feature for the Banks current messaging stack and identify any required actions for the team.
